History:

"Frances", the sixth tropical storm of the Atlantic season formed Tuesday, August 24, from a westward moving tropical wave. The storm made landfall along the upper SE Florida coast with 105 mph winds. moved across the peninsula of Florida then cross over the NE Gulf of Mexico and made landfall again in the panhandle around St Marks.
